Poster Designs for STLCC Meramec Theatre
I created two poster designs for the STLCC Meramec theatre plays in 2022. The performances were God of Carnage, a play about two couples trying to come together (and failing) to figure out how to settle a fight between their children, and a student's Directing Showcase, where students showed their skills in acting and directing.

With God of Carnage, I decided to design around the main event that set the whole play into motion, being one of the sons got their two front teeth knocked out by the other family's son. I made the teeth within the mouth look like a city skyline to show that it takes place in a big city setting and even giving them a shattered look. I also decided to use lots of reds to convey some violence since it was a result of a fight and the parens throughout the play get angry and slightly malicious towards each other.

Since the Directing Showcase was less of a story and more of a showing of talent, I decided to create something more abstract and clean. The background I chose was a close up of a building that I turned on its side to make it look somewhat like a piano, giving it a theatrical feel. The type is reminiscent of Swiss design making it more clean and compliment the background's clean, yet abstract tone.
Tickets are just a mockup for concept, not the real tickets
